Today is our final day of the trip and that meant relocating from Overstrand to London.
Before leaving, we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast
But here it always takes considerably longer. And today, we had the added challenge of several backups, with nearly constant rain, pushing what should have been a 4 hour drive to 5 1/2.
So, that left no time for exploring, unless you count BP gas station bathrooms as something exciting to share.
However, I do not.
We arrived at our hotel located at Terminal 4, just at check in time, we secured the room then returned the car to the agency. A driver brought us back to the hotel which is a really nice perk by Arnold Clark rentals.
We enjoyed the welcome screen on the television in our room.
That is the only way we were seeing London today!
Dinner was just in the hotel and it was actually quite pricey. But I suppose that was to be expected.
Luckily, we still have fudge left from our Cambridge adventure, so a cup of tea in the room with a slice of fudge (OK, maybe 2 slices of fudge) was a sweet way to end the day.
Thanks for following along! It’s been great having you join me in my adventures.
Until next time…
