Saturday is now upon us, and who thought that the week would slip by so quickly?
It was the perfect night for Pina Coladas (alcohol free, of course)
And there was cake for dessert!
It certainly has been a fun time, and yesterday's beach time was spent skirting some huge gray skies and a lot of wind, but we still managed to get a few hours of ocean adventure.
Some father/son time in the early part of the day:
Our granddaughter coercing her cousin to venture closer to the waves to retrieve a bucket of water:
And the excitement of success when it worked!
Believe me, it was quite a transition from the child who was terrified to get anywhere near the water earlier in the week.
There was football
and some fish
a super cute baby
and did I mention fish?
I've noticed that the urgency to get to the beach for the perfect fishing time has decreased, as, apparently, fish can be caught anytime during the day. Who knew?
Back at the beach house, I finished the annual beach puzzle early in the day. Don't let the photo fool you. It was a real challenge to put together.
And apparently there has been a daily visitor to the pool....besides my family.
He has been named Friendly Frog and this cutie was happy to hold him.
There was a game of Chess with PapPap
and an evening pool game with these two as the cheering section.
those faces say it all!
The evening was filled with lots of cuteness. No surprise there!
Although I awoke to bright blue skies over the ocean this morning, the skies over the sound looked rather ominous. Not quite sure what the day will bring, but we're bound to find some fun to fill our last day here at the beach.
And I hear the fishing is good, no matter what the weather!
Thanks for following along, and I hope you enjoyed my gallivanting adventures at the beach this summer!
